These are the services that store or process cemetery information on our behalf, and where each one operates. All of it is in Canada. We use no analytics, advertising or error-tracking service of any kind.
What this page covers
The services that store or process cemetery information on our behalf, and where each one operates. If a company is not on this list, it does not hold your records.
The list
| Service | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosts the database: cemetery records, accounts, and the financial and care-and-maintenance ledgers | Canada (Central), Montreal |
| Google Cloud | Runs the application, stores uploaded documents and photographs, and stores error logs | Toronto, Canada |
Error logs are the one item there that may contain a person’s name. When something goes wrong, the technical detail we record in order to diagnose it can include a reference to the record being worked on at the time. Those logs are held in Toronto with everything else.
Our domain name records are managed at Cloudflare, in a mode that answers name lookups only. No traffic to CemeteryIQ passes through it and it holds no information about anyone, which is why it is not in the table above.
About data residency
Everything on this list is hosted in Canada.
Being straightforward about the limit of that: Supabase Inc. and Google LLC are companies incorporated in the United States, which is true of essentially every cloud provider available in this market. What procurement policies normally ask about is the region the data is stored in, and that answer is Canada.
What we do not use
There is no analytics service, no advertising or marketing platform, no error-tracking service such as Sentry, and no customer-messaging or session-recording tool. Not disabled or unconfigured: not installed.
CemeteryIQ does not currently send email. When it does, the email provider will be added to this page before the first message goes out.
Changes to this page
We will update this page before adding any service that stores or processes cemetery information, and let operators know. The date at the top says when it last changed.
